What should happen during my period of ownership?
Ownership is temporary. Stewardship asks what should be preserved, transformed, shared or allowed to end during the owner’s period of responsibility.
Ownership is a period, not a verdict
Legal title can create the impression of permanence. In reality, every owner occupies a place in time. Assets arrive from past effort and will eventually pass, be sold, divided, transformed or consumed.
Stewardship begins when ownership is understood as responsibility exercised between receipt and transfer.
Preservation is not the only duty
Not everything should continue unchanged. A business may need new leadership. A structure may have outlived its purpose. Capital may serve the family better in another form. Responsible stewardship distinguishes continuity from inertia.

The owner should be able to explain the purpose behind important assets and arrangements.
